Purelea was founded in 2015 to tackle some of the greatest challenges facing the world today: CO2 emissions, waste ,ecosystem collapse and food security.
Humanity must increase food production by 70% to feed nearly 10 billion people by 2050. We must achieve this with 25% less farmland, 90% less water, degraded soils and in ever more unsustainable climate. Our existing methods of agriculture will not be enough to feed ourselves. So we need hydroponics to overcome these problems.
We use Total Dissolved Solids(TDS) meters for measuring the combined inorganic and organic substances dissolved in water. We also use pH meters to measure the acidity of the solutions used. In addition we use materials like planting cups, fertilizers for a hydroponic system, plant clips, etc.
